Delft-based cloud supply chain startup TradeCloud announced on Tuesday it has received an undisclosed sum of funding from regional development organisation InnovationQuarter and informal investor Paul van Keep (co-founder of Exact Software).

Tradecloud markets an online supply chain platform for manufacturing companies and technical wholesalers. The investment will help the company to secure "a leading market position in the Dutch manufacturing sector and prepare the Delft-based company for international growth", parties say in a statement.

Supply chain

Mid-market businesses, including Quooker, Agrifac Machinery and Nooteboom use Tradecloud to share real-time information about orders, deliveries and items.

By gaining insight into their chain of suppliers, clients must be able to respond to market changes more quickly. "And reducing physical order handling by up to 25 per cent", Tradecloud says.

The startup, incubated at YES!Delft, was founded in 2013 by Marcel Matthijs, Jan Mark Maas and Tonnis de Boer. The founders have a background in enterprise software and worked for companies like Exact, PostNL and Mendix.

Earlier, the startup received funding from Peak Capital.
