Online auction house Catawiki is Europe's fastest growing company according to Deloitte, measured by revenue growth.
The Dutch team behind the internationally known site won the Deloitte Fast 500 (EMEA) last night at London's Lanesborough Hotel. Catawiki from Assen saw its revenue grow over the past four years by no less than 45 080 percent.
Almost exactly seven years ago René Schoenmakers and business partner Mark Jansen started a kind of wiki site recording information about collectibles. Since then Catawiki is grown into a company with three hundred men.
Thanks to a recent major investment of 75 million euros, Schoenmakers is now looking for another hundred extra employees, mostly developers.
