Amsterdam-based PressPage, which offers clients a tool to their PR and communications strategy, got an undisclosed investment from Dutch VC Capital Mills.
PressPage offers PR and communications professionals a platform which supports them in their daily work: from the creation and maintenance of advanced newsrooms to distribution of news and the analysis of results.
The money will be used to boost its own PR and marketing efforts by expanding their commercial team. “We help our customers with their campaigns on a daily basis, but we haven’t been spending enough time on our own communications strategy. That will completely change this year”, co-founder and CEO Sébastien Willems said.
On the radar
PressPage is one of those typical ‘under the radar’ startups, that have been quietly, but steadily, building its business. It did so since 2008. Last year, it set up shop in the US with an office in Chicago. With the investment, it’s finally time for the company to be seen on the radar.
Erwin van Veen, partner at Capital Mills said: “The company is now at a stage where it can start to scale up in the US and EU. We are going to help PressPage do exactly that.”
Although the details were undisclosed, Capital Mills usually takes a significant stake in companies, from 20 percent up to 60 percent.
PressPage started around the same time as similar startup pr.co (formerly known as Pressdoc), which is now based at TQ Amsterdam. Pr.co is used by all sorts of businesses from multinationals to startups – PressPage seems to focus on corporates and SMEs.
