Helloprint, a printing service platform from Rotterdam, today announced a 3 million euro investment in the company. The amount was raised by a group of investors, current management team members and investor Gert Jan Munneke.

The investment will be used to fuel the growth in Europe. Helloprint already is active in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, UK and Spain. The company is looking to expand to eight more countries and wants to grow its team from 100 to 150 employees.

Founder and CEO Hans Scheffer is no stranger in the printing service industry. In 2010 he sold his business Flyerzone to the UK company Grafenia and was seated in the board there until 2012. In 2013 he founded Helloprint.

The company last year got 15 million euro in revenue, this year it expects 30 million euro. In 2019 Scheffer thinks of 100 million euro in revenue. In this market Vistaprint is a well known big competitor. The difference with a party like that is that Helloprint doesn't own any printing production facilities, it serves as a marketplace for printing inventory.

According to Dutch newspaper FD the printing company chose Munneke as one of its investors because he "knows how to quickly grow a business." He sold his online marketing agency Traffic4U two years ago. Munneke will have a spot in the board of Helloprint as well. He is joined by Marco Geeratz, the founder of printmanagement agency Sumis.
