It’s the silly season – however, that doesn’t mean the startup world comes to a halt. Here’s all the Dutch startup news you need to know.

Funding & news

Last week we published our second quarterly report on funding for Dutch startups: 101 million euro was invested, 17 million euro more than Q1.

Also, great news for GitLab. The GitHub competitor got 1,5 million dollar in seed funding.

Energy company Eneco announced that they will invest 100 million euro in energy startups, as part of a new innovation programme.

Dutch VC Orange Growth Capital invests 6.5 million euro (series A) in Salviol, a British big data startup.

Last but not least: a milestone for car sharing darling Snappcar. The startup crowdfunded 1 million euro (convertible loans) to date.
