E-commerce platform Mall-Connect raised a 1 million euro Series A round from Newion Investments, the companies announced on Monday.
The funding must be used to expand the offerings of Mall-Connect, including mobile marketing and loyalty programs, and enable further (international) growth.
Newion’s Managing Partner Patrick Polak will join the board of the startup. “We have been impressed with the team and growth Mall-Connect realized over the last twelve months”, says Polak.
Mall-Connect was founded in 2011 in Laren. Its core product is an omni-channel platform called MyDeck that enables mall owners to engage with its visitors and track them. “Tenants can launch promotions and content to websites, apps, social media and iBeacons”, says the company.
Conversion
Eventually Mall-Connect must increase conversion, in-depth knowledge of visitor’s behavior and therefore also the revenues of shopping malls. About 25 shopping centres and 4,000 brand stores use the platform.
The startup is run by Jasper de Lange, Jasper de Vreugt and Jean-Baptiste Meneroud and has “solution partners” in the United Kingdom, Portugal, South Africa and Russia.
