Joep Dohmen (21), Thijs Verheul (23) and Sjuul Berden (23) are the best young entrepreneurs of the year, according to Dutch entrepreneur magazine Sprout.
The founders of United Wardrobe were announced the winners of the annual ‘25 under 25’ election on Wednesday evening.
United Wardrobe is an online marketplace for second hand clothes that was founded in 2014. One year later the startups has 90.000 users and ‘several hundred’ transactions each month.
“This is awesome”, says so-founder Sjuul Berden, currently in Berlin. “We are looking into the German market as we speak.”
Fan-base
“The entrepreneurs stand out with a visual and social platform, international ambition and a large fan-base”, says Sprout editor in chief Remy Gieling. “The so-called platform economy, with companies such as Thuisbezorgd, show that micro margins can be profitable.”
Runners up were Esmee Pater (24) of Jobsome and Douwe Bart Mulder (24) of Printr. Employment agency JAM got the most votes from the public.
