NL artists, performers and innovators at SXSW2017 announced
During South by Southwest 2017, Club Barbarella and Swan Dive in Austin Texas will be home to New Dutch Wave House. StartupDelta Special Envoy Constantijn van Oranje will “start up” the wave of creativity on 12 March by opening the New Dutch Wave House and the New Dutch Wave stand at the Expo.
Programming of the the New Dutch Wave (12 -15 March) will be at the cutting-edge of interactive media, multiscreens applications and music. The House will feature ‘Deep Dives’ that includes the world’s first presentation of Sensory Reality Pod by Sensiks and the pre-launch of Galit Ariel’s AR book. Presentations on forefront developments like Intelligent Future with Danijel Bonacic (Dept), (experience)design and creativity with Jouke Vuurmans (MediaMonks New York), Japie Stoppelenburg (Dept), Arne Koefoed (WINK) and Justin Bolognino (META.IS).
Visitors will experience live demonstrations of smart algorhythms that predict hit songs, and break-through technologies for sports broadcasting by TNO (The Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research), Angry Bytes and 24i. 15 Dutch startups will present themselves at different stages at SXSW and in a pitch competition in the New Dutch Wave house
In the afternoons ‘Creativity Rules The Wave’ with show cases, musical performances, art, design and film that include various interactive installations by MediaMonks, Next Nature Network and Halal. Startups like Minibrew, Bynder , Sensiks, Beer in a Box, A-Boss will demonstrate their products.
Every day the program in the New Dutch Wave house will be concluded with “The Tide”, a series of networking drinks and BBQs with a musical entourage by Amsterdam Dance Event .
On Wednesday March 15th the Dutch Impact Party will be held with musical performances by Jennie Lena, Klyne, Michael Prins, MICH , St. Tropez and Drive Like Maria .
